SAIC has contingent job opportunities for Systems Integration Site Leads to support upgrades of LAN/WLAN at Medical Treatment Facilities and associated remote facilities in both CONUS and OCONUS locations.  

These positions are contingent upon contract award, expected Spring 2023.  This date is subject to change.

These positions will be 100% remote with travel to various CONUS and OCONUS locations as needed.

The Site Leads will perform IT Installations and Site Configuration Lead duties for medical facilitates LAN and WLAN upgrades throughout the United States.

Duties include:

• Provide installation, configuration, test and accreditation support required to implement and cutover existing networks to the new infrastructure
• Develop system architecture and configurations upgrades
• Direct and lead the onsite efforts of the technicians implementing these upgrades and cutover efforts; system architecture upgrades and configuration engineering installation packages
• Direct and complete documentation of the configuration changes at each site

Candidate will need to be Proficient in:

• Design and configuration of LAN and WLAN systems including a significant amount of VLAN segmentation
• Testing communications systems and following standard test procedures
• Trouble-shooting problems with telecommunications equipment to include system interfaces and configurations
• Experienced at trouble-shooting and activating circuits. Able to prepare detailed Implementation Plans and Test reports

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

• Bachelors Degree

EXPERIENCE:

Must have 10 or more years of experience supporting and leading efforts in 2 or more of the specific engineering support and installation support areas listed below:

• Design, installation, integration and configuration of wired and wireless security suites
• Design, installation and integration of IT networking equipment, LAN switches/routers, WLAN systems including coverage areas, Controllers, APs, AMs, frequency planning, security, electronics and antenna selection, power ratings, user bandwidths and wireless enclosures, scalability, compatibility and integration of new LAN/WLAN designs into existing networks
• Experienced with IA and DISA LAN/WLAN STIG requirements
• Experienced with current LAN/WLAN installation standards

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT:

• Must meet DoD 8570 IAT/IAM Level I Certification requirements

Physical Demands:

• Work is performed in a multiplex/hospital environment
• Must have the ability to lift and carry up to twenty-five pounds and walk short distances
• Must be able to climb and work from ladders pursuant to placing/installing wired and wireless appliance on walls and in ceilings

Desired Skills:

• A background in Army Information Systems Engineering and Technical Support related to Installations and Testing

• Aruba Certified Mobility Associate (ACMA)

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:

• Must have an active SECRET security clearance
