We are looking for a Chief Systems Engineer to support our customer’s Processing and Analytic Capabilities organizations Program Management  Office (PMO) and Program Executive Office (PEO). You will be a key member of the integrated government/contractor team in the PMO/PEO supporting the planning and development of new capabilities for PAC at the customer sites at Fort Meade Maryland and the local vicinity. The PAC PMO/PEO is  responsible for the development of data  (including  cryptanalytic  and  protocol)  processing  systems,  high  performance  computing systems,  mission  repositories,  analytic  capabilities,  customer  engagement  services  and  mission engagement systems. The selected Chief Systems Engineer will:

  • Be responsible for the production of systems engineering documentation
  • Oversee Requirements creation and allocation
  • Coordinate resolution of Action Items
  • Perform Analysis of Alternatives
  • Oversee and support customer implementation of Systems Engineering Technical Process Areas- Stakeholder Requirements Definition, Requirements Analysis, Architectural Design, Implementation, Integration, Verification, Transition, Validation, Operation, Maintenance, and Disposal.
  • Oversee and support customer implementation of Systems Engineering Project Process Area - Project Planning, Project Assessment and Control, Decision Management, Risk Management, Configuration Management, Information Management, and Measurement.
  • Oversee and support customer implementation of System Engineering Enterprise Project Process Areas - Project Portfolio Management, Infrastructure Management, Lifecycle Model Management, Human Resource Management, and Quality
  • Review and recommend alternative for system design/architecture
  • Propose solutions to solve technical issues
  • Develop or review project engineering standards
  • Lead/supervise other systems engineers and technicians
  • Make decisions on engineering issues and methodologies
  • Brief stakeholders on status and technical aspects of their project.
  • Plan and develop engineering projects with unique or complex aspects that impact major capabilities of high priority to the enterprise.

 

Qualifications

  • Top Secret SCI clearance with Polygraph
  • Must have:
    • A Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus twenty (20) years of systems engineering experience
      OR
    • A High School Diploma or GED plus twenty-four (24) years of general systems engineering experience
      OR
    • A Master’s degree or PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus eighteen (18) years of systems engineering experience.

Desired:  

  • Knowledge/Experience with PAC systems and processes highly desired.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
