Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The position provides initialization and operations support for government space systems. The responsibilities include pre-launch planning and execution, post-launch commissioning, and mission anomaly support.
Daily interaction with MOD Tier 1/2 mission life cycle requirements and Tier 1/2 functions.
Space systems ground planning and scheduling
Analysis and support of space vehicle command and control.
Writing and distributing operations status reports, discrepancy reporting and root cause analysis
Qualifications
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's of Science (Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Systems Engineering) and ten (10) years or more relevant experience;
Experience with ground enterprise testing.
Systems Engineering experience to include support to requirements specification, sell-off, evaluation, and closure, risk assessment, Conops development
Experience supporting contract definition, scope evaluation, and contractor statement-of-work day to day execution.
Ability to support definition of mission metrics gathering and plotting using disparate sources across the enterprise.
Detailed understanding of M2C2 Mission Architecture Interfaces (User Interfaces/External Interfaces/Internal Interfaces)
Detailed understanding of M2C2 Command and Telemetry Component (CTC) Interfaces and Design
Ability to use Excel Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)
Ability to use Scripting languages (python, perl, bash...)
Understanding of Basic Linux (Advanced Linux considered a plus
