Description

SAIC is seeking a Supply Technician  to perform Pre-Expended Bin services for our Fleet Readiness Center  located at the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, FL.

Duties and Responsibilities: (Include but not limited to)

  • Support the Fleet Readiness Center Jacksonville in providing pre-expended bin (PEB) items and kitting services to aircraft sub-assemblies, engine and landing gear components to land vehicle maintenance support components.
  •  Manage material using SCOPTIMA and several logistics websites such as FEDMALL and WEBFLIS.
  • Identify, report and correct material discrepancies working with the customer and using WebSDR, and PEDREP.
  • Break down, receive and deliver material daily to pre-expended bins located throughout the FRCSE in Jacksonville, Mayport, and Cecil Field.
  • Scan pre-expended bins daily using a barcode scanner and barcode labels located on the bins.
  • Document, track, and report daily deliveries, shipments, and internal material movements to the supervisor via receipt report and transfer paperwork.
  • Collaborate with co-workers, material planner and supervisor to ensure timely, efficient material deliveries and bin scanning.
  •  Coordinate and expedite the flow of material to and from various shops.
  • Review and recommend reorder thresholds based on analysis of recent history of parts movement, anticipated demand, and customer collaboration.
  • Maintaining daily communications between our on-site personnel and depot mechanics to assist with problem-solving and facilitating spot buys for emergency requirements.
  • Maintain storage and management of customer-owned material that can be redistributed to other shops on depot providing significant cost-avoidance benefits.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 

  • High school diploma/GED equivalent and zero (0) years of related experience. 
  • Must have current Driver's License.
  • Must be able to lift 50+ pounds.
  • Demonstrated experience in customer service.
  • Strong initiative, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt in high-paced, dynamic work environment and manage shifting priorities.

Required Security Clearance:

  •  Must have active DOD Secret Clearance and be a U.S. citizen.
