SAIC is currently seeking a Deputy Software Product Owner and Deputy Systems Product Owner to support the National Space Test and Training Complex Program (NSTTC-D) located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

About the Program:

STARCOM is a suitable environment to conduct an array of unclassified to potentially sensitive activities of space systems, to include but limited to testing, concept development, training, and exercise/war games, from a sub-system to system-of-systems level.

Overview of Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the full development lifecycle (requirements, design, development, testing, deployment) of complex applications utilizing SAFe framework
• Conduct sprint planning and execution and participate in demos and retrospectives.
• Resolve roadblocks for the development team, working collaboratively with the technical leadership, and other engineers
• Build software solutions where the solution is not always well defined, but always considers the customer first
• Break down large tasks into smaller tasks that can be executed by the development team
• Plan and estimate development tasks and work to improve performance metrics
• Lead teams to deliver software components on time, at full capability
• Synchronizing software actions and efforts with program management, hardware design, integration, test, maintenance, and on site delivery.
• Own the team backlog and lead planning sessions

Qualifications

Required Education:

Bachelors with nine (9) years of experience; four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree

Required Clearance:

Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI Security Clearance; US Citizenship required.

Required Experience:

• At least 9 years of Software Engineering experience for the Software Product Owner
• At least 9 years of Systems Engineering experience for the Systems Product Owner
• Minimum of 3 years Modeling and Simulation experience
• Experience working in an Agile work environment
• Ideal candidate will be the Software Engineer SME or Systems Engineering SME and also be in the role of a Product Owner

Required Certifications:

• Certified SAFe Product Owner

Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
