SAIC is seeking a Cybersecurity Infrastructure and Boundary Protection Analyst based in Tampa, FL.  The Analyst should be experienced with the USCENTCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR) and mission. Must have strong networking and cybersecurity skills and knowledge. Must be willing to work outside of normal business hours, when required. Must be able to work with minimal supervision, be a team player, willing to work challenging assignments and tasks concerning Cyber Security, Information Assurance and Computer Network Defense policy, procedures and guidance; must be willing to travel, on occasion, throughout the AOR (which includes Afghanistan, Iraq, Bahrain, Qatar, and other Southwest Asia nations).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate and troubleshoot network security infrastructure to include firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, content filtering and spam filtering systems
  • Recommend network security architecture changes to mitigate risks while maintaining operational capabilities
  • Interpret, analyze and implement Cybersecurity policies and orders on an operational network
  • Review security threats and determine/implement effective countermeasures, as required
  • Analyze network or system changes/reconfigurations for security impacts
  • Participate in Cybersecurity risk analysis and assessments, as required
  • Review and update Cyber Security tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in related technical discipline and 5+ years related experience. 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
  • Must meet DoD 8570.01-M minimum of IAT Level II Certification (i.e. Security +)
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher certification preferred

Required Skills:

  • Candidate must have experience managing enterprise firewalls. Experience with Fortinet and Cisco firewalls is a plus.
  • Candidate must have experience working with switches and routers. Experience with Cisco systems is preferred.
  • Candidate must have a solid familiarity with application and network security.
  • Candidate must be able to provide technical subject matter expertise for a wide range of security technologies including, but not limited to Intrusion Protection and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS/IPS), web content filtering, perimeter access controls, logical access controls, identity and access management, and data loss prevention.
  • Candidate must have an understanding of vulnerabilities, exploits, and practical working knowledge of DoD Cyber Security program
  • Candidate must have strong communications skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Candidate must be able to interpret and apply DoD Cyber Security orders, policies and procedures
  • Candidate must have good analytical and creative problem solving skills

Desired Skills:

  • Military Experience (Active Duty or Reserves)
  • Experience with Cyber Security in a Joint and Coalition Partner environment

Clearance Requirement:

  • Must currently possess a TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance
