SAIC is hiring a Data Modeler Architect/Analyst to join our team. 

Note:  primarily remote position with up to 20% travel to Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.

Responsibilities: 

  • Point of contact and work flow organizer for the team.
  • Work with stakeholders, leadership, and subject matter experts to build a holistic view of the organization’s strategy, processes, information, and assets.
  • Work with JPEO-CBRND program-level architects to provide a consensus-based Enterprise solution that is scalable, adaptable, and in synchronization with operational requirements.
  • Support the analysis of JPEO-CBRND capability gaps and overlaps in the course of achieving the Enterprise mission.
  • Develop, maintain, and validate DODAF architectures for JPEO-CBRND initiatives, programs, and the Enterprise.
  • Utilize architecture products to identify system dependencies and potential capability gaps. 
  • Develop DODAF architecture models in coordination with the program office and user sponsors such as Joint Requirements Office (JRO) and/or individual service and non-DOD sponsors.
  • Work with JPEO-CBRND program engineers in order to develop operational, data, and system-level architectures.
  • Ensure the DODAF architecture models are consistent with other JPEO-CBRND architecture models as well as J6 Warfighter Mission Area (WMA) architecture development guidance.
  • Develop architecture products to support acquisition documents (i.e., Capability Development Documents (CDDs), Capability Production Documents (CPDs), and Information Support Plans (ISPs)).
  • Provide comments and input to support program and contract documentation (i.e., Systems Engineering Plans (SEPs), Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and Requests for Proposals (RFPs)).
  • Participate in JPEO-CBRND Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) at the program and Enterprise level.
  • May be required to travel up to 20% CONUS.
  • Perform the following standard reporting requirements:
    • In-person architecture reviews, as needed
    • Weekly touch point calls
    • Update status tracking systems as required
    • Monthly reports, submitted in writing, to discuss the status of deliverables, work plans, and issues

Qualifications

Experience Required:

  • Bachelors degree
  • Twelve (12) years of general experience and eight (8) years of relevant experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience developing and maintaining Department of Defense Acquisition Framework (DODAF) v2.0x architecture products (Operational, System, and Data Views).
  • Experience with architectural development tools such as UNICOM Systems Architect tool or No Magic Inc. MagicDraw Architect tool.
  • Experience with data modeling tools such as ERStudio or Erwin.
  • Familiarity with Joint Common System Function List (JCSFL), Joint Common Architecture (JCA), Net-Ready Key Performance Parameter (NR KPP), Universal Joint Task List (UJTL), and National Information Exchange Model (NIEM).
  • Familiarity with Joint Program Executive Office Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear Defense (JPEO-CBRND) programs.
  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to assess and clearly communicate technical and project risk.
  • The contractor shall possess excellent organizational skills.

Security Clearance Required: 

  • Must be a US Citizen and have an active secret security clearance

Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
