Description

All-Source Intelligence Analyst-Chinese will be immersed into a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment composed of a diverse team of analysts, linguists, cultural experts, and operations officers. The analyst will be responsible for conducting exhaustive research in the open source and classified domains in accordance with priorities. The analyst will be focused on creating and recognizing targeting opportunities and strategies. The candidate must be particularly adept at and have a background in analytical exploitation using specialized investigative tools and datasets. The position requires strong critical thinking skills, the ability to write accurately and succinctly, and the ability to multi-task and accomplish tasks with limited direct supervision, and respond to short-notice tasking. This position will require interaction with a wide variety of Government leadership, active duty and contractor personnel.  The candidate must have the ability to operate in a diverse, evolving, and high-profile environment.

Qualifications

Daily Responsibilities may Include:

  • Linguistic and cultural knowledge of Mandarin Chinese
  • Strong analytic skills/research skills
  • Strong operational security practices and a bias towards initiative-drive work
  • Utilizes all-sources of intelligence, including, SIGINT, HUMINT, OSINT, and SMINT (social media intelligence) to provide recommendations and courses of actions to government leads
  • Identifies and Reports potential targets and trends through traffic analysis and by using specialized tools
  • Develops and maintains analytical procedures to meet changing requirements and ensure maximum operations. May support development and analysis of intelligence products
  • Verbal and written interpretation/translation (the ability to identify and analyze problems and then generate recommended solutions based upon experience working with various elements of DoD)
  • Develops investigative leads and creates associated incident, threat, and information reports/products
  • Can be counted on to exceed goals successfully, very bottom-line oriented; steadfastly pushes self and others for results
  • Ability to adapt and perform under pressure in a diverse environment with evolving requirements
  • Desired Attributes: confident, diligent, organized, and strong planning, problem solving and decision-making skills

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 8 years of specialized Analytical experience; OR
  • Master’s degree in a related field and 5 years of specialized Analytical experience; OR
  • 5 – 10+ years of specialized Analytical experience with appropriate military and civilian training within the intelligence analysis and tactical operations support field
  • Minimum DLPT  2+/2+/2 or Equivalent (ILS, ILR, ALTA) in Chinese
  • Experience in providing analytical support to tactical and/or counterintelligence platforms
  • Experience with assessment of sources and their reporting through the corroboration of source reporting and providing analytical feedback
  • Create written reports demonstrating accurate and succinct writing showing key findings and overview of the process used to perform collection and analysis
  • Experience with HOTR, Chrome, Voltron, and standard IC analytic tools and databases.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically OneNote); Analyst Notebook and/or Palantir.

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong knowledge of military operations, terminology, and structure
  • Formal coursework in Chinese-Mandarin language (Defense Language Institute, University Major or Minor coursework) or equivalent experience
  • Former Military Intelligence experience (35F, 35L, 35M, 14N, 1N0, 0210, 0211, or equivalent)
  • Experience supporting MDCO in a deployed environment

REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE

  • Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a polygraph
  • TS/SCI Polygraph Preferred
