Job Responsibilities:

• Provide Automation Engineer skills installing, configuring, and managing Kubernetes within an AWS GovCloud environment
• Assist in determining scope, urgency, and potential impact and track infrastructure incidents from initial detection through final resolution
• Provide engineering, administration and maintenance support to the Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) environment
• Provide Windows and Linux support when needed
• Collaborate using Amazon Web Services (AWS) for use of AWS native services such as Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Amazon Simple Storage (S3) and Amazon Simple DB/RDS databases, AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM)
• Discover and resolve issues within the virtual environments
• Design new capabilities and enhancements (to include Cloud Migration and Analytics design and development) and create efficiencies within the AWS environments
• Experience working with administrator and service accounts and troubleshooting issues
• Creates/updates and Maintains system documentation, interacts with users and evaluates vendor products
• Assist in the delivery ATO’s documentation for IL2/IL4 environments, work with IA team to define, document and implement Security Controls
• Participate in the development of system engineering documentation, such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents
• Report findings to management with recommendations for resolution
• Maintain regular contact with customers during support and projects
• Provide technical assistance and training to users

Qualifications

• Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience. Additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Three (3) or more years of experience, vendor certification and in-depth knowledge of at least one cloud product

• Interim Secret clearance required; Ability to obtain Secret clearance required to maintain employment
• US citizenship required

• Experience with automation, installing, configuring, and managing Kubernetes within an AWS GovCloud environment
• Knowledge working with MongoDB, Docker, containerization tools
• Knowledge of AWS Cloud environments
• In-depth understanding of, and experience with deployments of various systems to AWS
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, SAFe or other modern software development methods/practices
• Experience with Programming languages:  JavaScript, Python, Java, Pearl, Ansible, Terraform
• Experience with RHEL and Linux 
• Security+ Certification (or equivalent/higher)

• SAFe DevOps certification
• Scripting Experience: YAML & Ruby Scripting
• Experience supporting software migration efforts
• Experience in an MSP or other IT company
• Service Now, Remedy, TMIS, or similar ticketing systems
• Checkmarks
• DevSecOps experience
• CI/CD experience 
• Experience supporting USAF software development projects

Target salary range: $100,001 - $125,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
