SAIC is seeking a Test Engineer to support in Chantilly, VA. This position requires an active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph.

As a Test Engineer, you will work as an integral member of a team of Space Crypto Systems Engineers responsible for providing guidance and technical support for the development, engineering, testing, and deployment of terrestrial and space COMSEC solutions.   You will support the testing and troubleshooting of cryptographic hardware, firmware and software solutions, and assist with the planning and evaluation of future systems.

Responsibilities:

• Establish and manage the baseline, to include testing, validation, and baseline integration and implementation for all hardware, software, and firmware upgrades introduced to the enterprise network
• Develop, document, and execute test plans and reports for baseline, compatibility and performance testing. This includes hardware, software and firmware upgrades under consideration for incorporation into the baseline
• Perform troubleshooting and anomaly resolution for equipment tests, and implementation and integration activities
• Evaluate and validate the suitability of equipment in addressing requirements for compatibility, configuration, features and functions
• Maintain and update the test and evaluation architecture
• Evaluate the benefits of various cryptographic technologies available through various vendors
• Develop, coordinate and plan software changes on cryptographic equipment with vendors and program offices

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.

• Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph
• Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technical, Engineering or Math (STEM) field
• 5+ years of experience as a test engineer
• COMSEC and CRYPTO fundamental understanding
• Understanding of ICD 503 assessment/certification and accreditation activities
