ICAM Solution Architect

Position Description

Seeking a candidate to provide enhancement oversight for custom development applications and integrations in support of Identity, Credential and Access Management services for NASA.

Enhancement support will include supporting the development life-cycle using an agile methodology.  The Solution Architect will be responsible for ensuring that functional and technical requirements (user stories) are collected, that solution architecture compliance is achieved, that testing is completed in alignment with QA best practices, and that general project management acumen is applied.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that solution architecture (software, integrations and programs) designed are in sync with business needs and hardware availability
  • Ensure that solution milestones are accomplished at the right time
  • Coordinate project/initiative documentation, like design reviews, operational readiness reviews, timeline management and risk management (especially related to government required 7120 projects)
  • Identify and mitigate existing business risk or risks associated with solution architecture.
  • Ability to identify and research usability, technical and service improvements
  • Ability to provide recommendations on prioritization of work of development team members based on customer impact
  • Participate in an agile/scrum methodology and help in ensuring a high-functioning team of developers and functional subject matter experts
  • Document / coordinate requirements using Agile User Stories and Conditions of Satisfaction, in order to detail requirements
  • Coordinate test planning and execution experience, including documenting test plans, executing test plans, track testing execution, and defect management
  • Support Release Management processes and shepherd improvements like automation
  • Support operational support needs, including end user documentation, communications, and trouble-shooting user issues
  • Partner with other service areas and vendors to ensure optimum delivery of solutions.

Qualifications

Required Education: 

  • Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
  • Years of experience accepted in lieu of degree. 

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 5 years of leadership responsibilities within an IT effort, specifically related to decision making and team mentorship
  • Strong written communication skills, with focus on communicating technical concepts
  • Strong oral communication skills, with focus on communicating technical concepts with a mixture of functional, application development engineering and security team members

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Identity, Credential, and Access Management IT systems and business processes
  • Experience with JAVA development
  • Experience with SQL or LDAP protocols

 

Investigation / Clearance: 

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust investigation (Tier 2) and / or Secret Clearance.
  • Current Active Clearance is desirable.
