Security Engineer ‐ Senior
Experience: Must have a minimum of 9 years of related experience administrating enterprise anti-
virus software, specifically Symantec. Must have experience using DOT Anti-Virus system (currently
Symantec).Duties: Designs and manages the Symantec anti-virus environment for required
workstations and servers. Centrally manages Symantec related settings using various servers.
Manages workstation anti-virus software, DAT, and engineer updates. Performs virus scans and
updates as scheduled. Troubleshoots complex issues and provides incident resolution for all related
incidents requiring escalated support or subject matter enterprise. Assists with malware response
Job Summary : SAIC seeks a Senior Security Engineer to supporting the Department of Transportation’s CyberSecurity mission by joining a dedicated team of cybersecurity professionals who collaborate, cooperate, and facilitate maintaining and enhancing the security posture of DOT information systems and infrastructure. These information systems and infrastructure support the DOT mission of managing and maintaining United States critical infrastructure (i.e. highways, bridges, roads, etc.).
Position: FT/PT : Full Time Travel Y/N? : Potential On-site twice a week
Top Qualifications, Skills, Experience or Certifications:
1. 15 years in CyberSecurity or related Information Technology fields, Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience
2. Experience working with Endpoint Protection solutions, specifically Palo Alto’s Cortex XDR
3. Security+, CISSP, CISM, CISA, GCIH, OSCP, CEH, or similar certification
4. Experience with and understanding of Federal CyberSecurity requirements (i.e. FISMA, NIST 800 series, etc)
