SAIC has an immediate opening for a Forensic/Cyber Operations Analyst to join a collaborative, dynamic team in a mission-focused environment.  You will support the analysis, security threats and development tactics, techniques and processes to mitigate potential security concerns. You should have detailed knowledge of how the internet works, interactions between browsers and websites, digital footprints, commercial messaging applications and their capabilities, adversary tactics, and trends. You will be asked to work directly with operational teams to address and mitigate technical challenges to achieve operational objectives.  Additionally, you will also be asked to provide subject matter expertise to training, collaborate with instructional designers, and present technical training modules as a subject matter expert.  You should also possess the ability to work as part of a dynamic team and thrive when learning new technologies.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
• 10+ years of working in Information Technology or Security or Cyber related field
• 2+ years of experience in providing direct technical support to the field
• roficient understanding of how the internet works
• Proficient understanding of how browsers interact with websites
• Proficient understanding of VPS, VPN, and VPC
• Proficient understanding of encryption
• Competency in one or more following topics:
  • Management of Virtual Machines/Environments, Virtual Box
  • Forensics (Computer, Network or Memory)
  • Understanding of Commercial Messaging Applications and their Capabilities
  • Use of tools such as Wireshark, Network Miner, Burp Suite, Encase, Guidance Software, PGP, GPG
  • Cloud-based infrastructure
  • Linux, Android, Windows and/or OS Internals and system administration functions
• Willing to travel OCONUS 2 weeks, 2-3 times a year and  local travel in WMA

Desired Qualifications:

• Ability to communication complex technical topics to a non-technical audience and present technical topics in a training environment.
• Ability to document technical topics and procedures for training use (content, lesson plans, assessments) in a professional manner
• Bachelor's Degree in a technical field
