SAIC is seeking a qualified Knowledge Management/Collaborative Engineer to support

for the Air Force Agency for Modeling and Simulation (AFAMS) office in Orlando, Florida.

 

Under government direction, provide the AFAMS M&S Support Division as the Air Force OTI and M&S Knowledge Management Design and Implementation support specialist with an additional duty as the Lead Contractor/Project Manager (PjM).

 

The Air Force Agency for Modeling and Simulation (AFAMS) has been tasked with developing elements for a USAF M&S K&M plan focused on four critical tasks: (1) developing M&S operational & technical requirements for a OTI / M&S KM capability; (2) leveraging the established OTI / M&S Ontology and Body of Knowledge (BOK) products to support development of the structure for the KM system; (3) focused on OTI / M&S KM segments that supports the training and operational testing applications; (4) develop a USAF OTI / M&S KM Implementation Plan and (5) execution of the OTI / M&S KM Implementation Plan.

AFAMS requires support in the development of the following three documents: (1) USAF M&S KM Front-end Analysis Report; (2) M&S Operational Training and Testing Application Report and (3) Draft Implementation and Action Plan for USAF M&S KM. Once approved; support the initiation and sustainment Implementation and Action Plan for USAF M&S KM.

Effort 1: In conjunction with government representatives, provide support in the collection, analysis, and synthesize of operational and technical information in support of conducting a modified front-end analysis for the USAF M&S KM system

Effort 2: A design recommendation for a web-based KM system that supports USAF M&S professionals in the integration of M&S technologies/capabilities that support mission and functional applications needs will be the result of the front-end analysis

Effort 3: In conjunction with government representatives, assist in the collection, analysis, and synthesis of operational and technical information to be included in an Application Report for the M&S applications of training and operational testing applications

Effort 4: In conjunction with government representatives, develop a draft Implementation and Action Plan for USAF M&S KM based on the modified front-end analysis

Effort 5: Support the initiation & sustainment of the Implementation and Action Plan for USAF M&S KM

Additional Duty: Project Manager (PjM) for the contract personnel in AFAMS. Establish and maintain relationships with the AFAMS Division Chiefs (stakeholders), attend weekly synch meetings with each of the three divisions, review and submit deliverables (monthly and quarterly reports), and manage contract personnel.

Required Experience/Qualifications:  Lead analyst with experience in front end studies, KM systems, and M&S applications. Should have demonstrated experience in the areas of research methodology, M&S operations, and KM system design. Additional individuals as required should have similar background with less experience.

Required Experience/Qualifications: 

  • US Citizen with the ability to obtain an active Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor of Arts or Science degree and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience
  • Proven leadership and experience in managing multiple teams

Desired Experience/Qualifications: 

  • Lead analyst with experience in front end studies, KM systems, and M&S applications
  • Demonstrated experience in the areas of research methodology, M&S operations, and KM system design

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
