SAIC is seeking Systems Administrators to join our team based out of Port Hueneme, CA.

The qualified candidate will be a part of a small, agile team that provides on-site FSET support.  Embedded Support personnel are considered mission essential and deployable on any Combat Commands exercises or operations. Work hours in excess of 40 hours per week per person may be required during contingency operations (deployments or exercises), an alternate work schedule may be required to support 24/7 operations.  Typical core hours are 0800 to 1700.

Job Responsibilities:

• Installation of new hardware or software 
• Creating and managing user accounts
• Maintaining computer systems such as servers and databases
• Planning and properly responding to system outages and various other problems 
• May include light programming or scripting to make the system workflows easier training computer users and assistants.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelors and two (2) years experience; Masters and zero (0) years experience; four (4) years experience accepted in lieu of degree

Required Skills:

• Experience working in a Linux environment
• Experience in a Systems Administrator role
• Security+ certification

Required Clearance:

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.  A minimum of a Secret clearance will be required prior to first day of employment. 

Required Travel:

Travel required up to 10% of the time. 

 

 

 

Target salary range: $85,001 - $95,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
