SAIC is seeking a CNIFR Engineering Technician to support the US Navy in Crane, IN.
NOTE: This position requires up to 50% travel to various Naval Information Forces Reserve (NIFR) locations nationwide. Candidate must be located near Crane, IN when not on travel.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Candidates will be tasked to install and maintain physical security systems (as well as troubleshooting, logistics and repair) of shore based electronic security systems and physical security systems. Typical systems include access control and intrusion detection systems that operate from and are compatible with the infrastructure at each location.
Qualifications
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Familiar with security systems such as: Lenel/Bosch/Advantor/AMAG
- Ability to maintain, inspect, program and troubleshoot security systems.
- Candidate must be a self-starter
- Good work ethic and initiative is primary importance.
- Experience working with hand tools
- Ability to climb a ladder
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND CLEARANCE:
- High School Diploma/ GED and two (2) years or more Engineering Technician experience.
- Must be able to obtain Top Secret SCI level Clearance. No clearance required to start.
