Description

The National Security Customer Group of SAIC is seeking an IT Operations Lead to support an IT Service Management effort for USTRANSCOM located at Scott Air Force Base (AFB) in Illinois.  The USTC Managed Information Technology Services (MITS) contract is intended to provide strategic, technical, and program management guidance and support services to facilitate the operations and modernization of the combatant command’s infrastructure, systems, and applications. This support will be provided to the USTC Command, Control, Communications & Cyber Systems Directorate (TCJ6). 
The successful candidate will have comprehensive responsibility for managing all operations-related processes, ensuring the operation of the Enterprise meets defined service levels, and serving as the service owner for all IT services and solutions.  
Responsibilities 
  • Managing staff, directs work activities, ensures high-quality of services, and leads key discussions from both business and technical perspectives 
  • Maintaining awareness and transparency performance metrics and provides IT infrastructure updates to Program and Government leadership 
  • Ensuring that policies and processes are in place to deliver consistent, efficient, and effective services 
  • Partnering with team to cohesively manage and maintain networks, systems, applications, and technology within the enterprise 
  • Improving, optimizing, standardizing, and streamlining customer support processes that yield improvements to the customer experience 
  • Leading service delivery with an emphasis on best practices to transition to easier-to-use, self-help formats of delivery that reduce the frequency and quantity of human interaction 
  • Developing, updating and maintaining the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) using industry best practices, DoD and USTRANSCOM guidelines, and process improvements 
  • Ensuring updating of the USTRANSCOM MITS Operations Run Book, as necessary 
  • Contributing to Daily Status Report (DSR), provides inputs into other Activity Reports as necessary. 
This position is for Monday through Friday, normal business hours.  However, employee may be required to provide after-hours and weekend support during planned or emergency events.  

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of eighteen (18) years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree
  • ITIL v4 Foundation certification or higher 
  • Ability to communicate IT, networking, and security concepts to personnel at all levels of experience and responsibility 
DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Master’s degree with 16 or more years of experience 
  • ITIL Intermediate Level Certification(s) 
REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE:
  • Active Top Secret clearance
  • DoD TS/SCI clearance preferred
