Description

SAIC is seeking a Senior Communications Analyst with an active  to serve within the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Managed Information Technology Service (MITS) team located at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois.  The Communication Analyst will be responsible for the development of deliverables such as technical documentation, Government publications, instructional manuals, and training material. 
 
Additional responsibilities may include:
  • Participating in the development, validation, peer review, editing, and the delivery to the customer with precise government and/or military standards, processes and workflows followed
  • Collaborating with engineers, technicians, logisticians, and government customers/stakeholders to create deliverables through written and pictorial instructions
  • Creating multimedia such as SharePoint site pages, SharePoint applications/web parts, interactive Visio diagrams, interactive electronic publications, dynamic Microsoft Excel pivot charts, and interactive distance learning courseware
  • Complying to DoD standards and is reviewed by the customer and company management.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of six (6)  years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or a Master's degree and four (4) years of related experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Demonstrate excellent English written and verbal communication skills with proven capability in performance as a Technical Writer
  • Exceptional organizational skills and be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team by regularly interfacing with a wide range of Civilian and Military personnel
  • Demonstrate an advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office and specifically in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Demonstrate an advanced level of proficiency in Adobe Acrobat DC-Professional
DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience with XML Authoring (Adobe FrameMaker preferred)
  • Proficiency in Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, or Modern SharePoint Online will be given prime consideration.
  • Candidates with DoD or Military writing experience is highly desired.
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
  • Active TS/SCI
