SAIC is seeking to fill a Part Time Remote/Hybrid Senior Systems Engineer position as part of its principle AEA IPT services team.  The position will cover business case assessments in direct support of Electromagnetic Spectrum Dominance (EMS). A successful prospect for this position will require career experience in roles requiring performance as a Chief Engineer and/or Department Integrated Product Team Executive with a primary focus of the technical advancement of Electronic Maneuver Warfare and Advanced Naval Aviation platform EMS principles.  The candidate for this position will carry out independent and team-based research of commercial and government developed capabilities to advance EMC disciplines.  Further, the candidate will execute engineering business case operations providing technical guidance to evolve prototype solutions and digital sustainment practices in direct alignment to US Navy EMS interests. The candidate will be required to perform and orchestrate Systems Engineering activities related to Cyber, Electronic Warfare (EW), EMS Dominance, Command and Control/Information Technology and the integration of technology without putting other on-board functionality at risk. This prospect will promote the Engineering disciplines inclusive of: concept of operations formulation, requirements definition, analysis and engineering, system architecting, system analysis and design, interface and data architectures, validation and verification, systems integration, system op. performance analysis, Lifecycle cost analysis estimation, decision analysis and physical configuration analysis (PCA). The candidate will drive functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software or engineering specifications. Additionally, the experience of a successful prospect must include their ability to serve as an organizational spokesperson on advanced projects and/or programs acting as a Subject Matter Expert and advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's and fourteen (14) years of experience; Master's and twelve years of experience; years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

Required experience:

  • Fourteen (14) plus years of Senior Systems Naval Aviation experience.

Clearance requirement

  • Must be able to obtain Secret security clearance.


Target salary range: $150,001 - $175,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
