SAIC has an immediate need for a Senior Software Systems Engineer to support the Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE) Team located in Huntsville, Alabama. 

Job Description: 

• The candidate should have a strong software development lifecycle background.  
• The candidate will participate in a wide range of software activities supporting the development, testing, fielding and sustainment of ASE related products.
• The candidate will help define software requirements, verify that the design of the products meets the design requirements, verify that the test plans and procedures provides coverage of all design requirements and help in the integration of products into laboratories and aircraft.

Qualifications

Required Education: 

• Bachelors degree with five (5) years or more experience; four (4) additional years of experience accepted in lieu of degree. 

Required Skills: 

• Experience with standard development processes, methodologies, and tools for hardware and software co-design 
• Experience with a wide range of projects related to all areas of software/firmware system development, application development, and development of internal software tools used for testing and verification of hardware and software 
• Experience with standard development processes, methodologies, and tools for hardware and software co-design  [C, C++, C#, and Java]

Desired Skills: 

• Familiarity with acquisitions program office
• System engineering process. 

Required Clearance:  

• Must have an active Interim Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain full Secret.
