Description
SAIC is seeking an experienced, results-oriented, mission-driven Data Analyst Quality Manager with specialized focus on data quality analysis and testing. We are looking for talented, innovative, and experienced individual to support the effort to increase the speed of data delivery for structured and unstructured data in the support of national security objectives. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding executing IT systems and supporting transformations utilizing a Lean Agile framework that promotes collaboration, transparency and continuous improvement. This is high visibility program, and we are seeking a results oriented self-starter.
As a Data Analyst Quality Manager you will contribute to a fast-paced team responsible for monitoring and maintaining data quality and conduct data testing. Your work will include responding to urgent data quality issues as they arise as well as proactive analysis to discover and research previously unknown problem areas.
Responsibilities:
Test to ensure that data models are implemented properly
Conduct final review of products
Ensure all products write out correctly and all expected files are present if the set has restricted records
Ensure data is prepared for production readiness
Compare table schemas
Data profiling
Find, investigate, and map out strategies to correct data quality issues
Work closely with other data quality team analysts, management, project managers, business analysts, and developers, to determine root causes for data quality issues
Devise remediation plans that both prevent future occurrences and restore data that has already been affected
Actively collaborate with others on business rules underlying the data
Develop in-depth understanding and knowledge about the variety of data stores, data sources, applications and tiers
Design and administer data collection tools; clean, merge and manage existing data sets as well as establish and maintain data quality procedures to ensure accuracy and timeliness of data
Qualifications
Required:
Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance with Polygraph
Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, science, or related discipline
Ability to multi-task and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed
4+ years of overall professional experience
Knowledge of Big Data, Data Warehousing, and ETL
Understanding the operational nature of a deployed software system
Aptitude for handling multiple tasks, workloads, changing priorities, and tight deadlines
Working knowledge of Jira
Ability to assess a problem and determine an effective course of action with sustainable solutions
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work complex issues, and meet deadlines
Ability to apply organizational, planning, management, problem solving and execution skills to multiple projects simultaneously
Demonstrated capability and success working in team environments
Interpersonal and communication skills, report writing abilities, an aptitude for analyzing data, and great business acumen
Ability to evaluate customer needs, internal workflows and business processes
Desired:
Knowledge of Nifi and/or DataBricks
Familiar with Linux Operating System
Familiar with Big Data Architecture (Spark), distributed system, data warehousing (example: Apache Hive), and Data Lake
Experience with Agile Methodologies and Kanban Framework
