Description
The Cyber Security Engineer Principal will be a key member of a fast-paced Security Solution development team, creating automated security solutions as products to be consumed by application development teams. The Cyber Security Engineer Principal full stack engineer would focus on security tools such as AWS GuardDuty, AWS Security Hub, Trend-micro, Tenable/Nessus, and Inspec to deliver security solutions. The Cyber Security Engineer Principal candidate will be required to possess:
• Execute complex security projects (from design through implementation and maintenance) that identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities within a cloud-based environment
• Deliver security solutions using site reliability engineering (SRE) concepts
• Self-motivated to lead or support the resolution of complex questions and issues
• Utilize creativity and innovation to automate and streamline processes and procedures
• Collaborate proactively in a team setting
• Value attention to detail and outcome
Experience working in a service and product centered environment such as SaaS/PaaS/IaaS
• Continuously analyze, problem solves, and improves service offerings
• Learn new skills, new client environments, new tools and new domain expertise quickly and eagerly
• Addresses and resolves complex incidents/requests, which may be escalated via customer support requests
• Work extremely well with peers and is able to build strong relationships with development and requirement teams by working across organizational boundaries to resolve customer incidents and requests
• Current or prior work experience at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and in particularly the Office of Information Technology / Infrastructure and User Services Group (OIT / IUSG)
