As a data scientist, you can turn these complex data sets into useful information to solve IC challenges.

We have an opportunity for you to use your analytical skills to improve the intelligence community. You will work closely with your customer to understand their questions and needs, before delving into their data-rich environment to find the pieces of their information puzzle. You will focus on building scalable applications to extract insights from data, leveraging open source tools and managed cloud services. You will work with a cross-functional team of data scientists, software engineers, and subject matter experts to develop enterprise-grade analytic capabilities. We have an opportunity for you to use your leadership and analytical skills to improve data insight discovery to support the IC. You will work closely with your customer to understand their questions and needs, and then dig into their data-rich environment to find the pieces of their information puzzle. Mentor teammates, develop algorithms, write scripts, build predictive analytics, use automation, apply machine learning, and use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn that set of disparate data points into objective answers to help you co-workers be more efficient in their deliverables

• Work within the team to develop new and enhance existing systems and applications
• Produce efficient and elegant code based on requirements
• Test and deploy programs and applications
• Troubleshoot, debug, maintain, and improve existing software
• Compile and assess user feedback to improve software and application performance
• Proactively seek opportunities to use process improvement and re-engineering methodologies to facilitate improvements to team processes

Qualifications

Required

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or 5 additional years experience in machine learning, data science, artificial intelligence or software development
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in software development and/or machine learning
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience using statistical computer languages (Python, SQL, etc)
• Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques including neural networks/deep learning and classification including machine learning model integration
• Minimum of 1 year of docker experience
• Analytic thinker with excellent written and verbal communication skills who works well in a team environment
• Strong problem solving skills with an emphasis on product development

Desired

• Experience with Microservice Architecture Development
• Experience working with existing media manipulation ML models (e.g. stylegan)
• Experience with React or other JavaScript frameworks (Angulare, Vue, etc)
• Experience with Django
