Description

SAIC is seeking a Project Officer/Engineer to join our team. This position will sit at Picatinny Arsenal. 

Responsibilities:

  • Provides overarching support to Chief Engineer for review of Technical Data Packages (TDP), Lot Acceptance Tests (LAT), Request for Deviation/Request for Variation (RFD/RFV) for the Product Director, Special Ammunition and Weapon Systems (PdD SAWS) portfolio of items
  • Attends Government Source Inspections (GSI) and LATs in support of PdD SAWS (30% Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) travel)
  • Prepares procurement packages to include but not limited to the Statement of Work (SOW), proposal delivery order forms, procurement form documents for quality and safety and also assists Program Analyst in their preparation of Independent Government Estimates (IGE) when required
  • Completes Technical assessment of new requirements
  • Tracks Delivery Verification Certificates (DVC), End User Certificates (EUC) and Item Information Certificate Statements (IICS) for current and existing delivery orders
  • Evaluates proposal delivery orders when assigned
  • Maintains communication with JPEO A&A G3 for funding and any changes to the authorizations for Regionally Aligned Forces (RAF)
  • Maintains communication with end user on assets on hand to ensure availability of munitions needed for training
  • Coordinates shipping of munitions from Blue Grass Army Depot to the training location Ammunition Supply Point (ASP)
  • Provides input for Pricing & Availability (P&A) for responsible items within the PBE system upon request
  • Support and assist with End User Certificate (EUC) staffing
  • Assesses delivery order performance for delivery and adherence to contractual requirements for assigned delivery orders
  • Drafts Requests for Information/Rough Order Magnitudes (RFI/ROM) and provides technical assessments of the responses received
  • Performs other various technical and program management duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Education:

Bachelors and five (5) years or more related experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and zero (0) years related experience; four (4) years of related experience considered in lieu of degree. 

Qualifications

  • OCONUS Travel Required (up to 30%)
  • Experience reviewing Technical Data Packages (TDP), Lot Acceptance Tests (LAT), Request for Deviation/Request for Variation (RFD/RFV) 
  • Able to complete Technical Assessment of new requirements
  • Experience drafting Requests for Information/Rough Order Magnitudes (RFI/ROM) and provides technical assessments of responses received
  • Military Acquisitions experience is a plus
  • Perform other various technical and program management duties as assigned

Clearance:

A minimum of an Interim Secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain and maintain full Secret clearance.
