SAIC is actively seeking a Senior Business Operations Analyst to join our team in support of the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (OUSD) – Personnel and Readiness (P&R) customer. This role is a hybrid role with a few days of work onsite at the Pentagon in Washington D.C

Job Duties:

  • Work under the Executive Director for Personnel and Readiness of OUSD office
  • Key advisor of all aspects of strategic-level management and oversight, the successful candidate will oversee and author and execute strategic communication strategy specifically addressing Defense reform, performance improvement and stakeholder plan and analysis
  • Assist in development of department-wide guidance on roles, responsibilities, and authorities for business reform efforts
  • Oversee office project management and ensure deadlines are met and objectives are achieved.
  • Provide and assist in development of formal guidance and policies as they relate to DOD reform and organizational changes
  • Coordinate and nurture relationships with team members, stakeholders, and clients to capture the most critical parts of the organization and properly communicate the value to key stakeholders
  • Draft policy documents in a variety of formats, to include DoD level responses, memorandums, talking points, white papers and standard operating procedures.
  • Support daily meetings and team meetings using common communication tools and team collaboration tools

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors and fifteen (15) years of experience; four (4) years of experience in lieu of degree

Required Security Clearance:

  • Required secret clearance with the ability to obtain a top secret clearance

Required Skills or Experience:

  • Experience in working with U.S. Department of Defense and working in the Pentagon (military or civilian) and understand DoD’s missions and resources
  • Experience with and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
  • Ability to work independently to define objectives and make informed recommendations under general direction from management
  • Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics
  • Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges
  • Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Desired Certifications:

  • Change management certification or designation desired
