Job Description


SAIC is looking for a Software Engineer at Fort Gordon near Augusta, GA for the US Army's Cyber Battle Lab to support operations, development, testing, maintaining, and configuration of stand-alone and integrated modeling tools used to either simulate or emulate Tactical Army communications systems.


  • Operate, develop, test, maintain, and configure stand-alone and integrated modeling tools used to either simulate or emulate Tactical Army communications systems
  • Participate and conduct reviews, evaluations or meetings pertaining to design, specification and configuration management of Cyber Battle Lab (CBL) models
  • Responsible for managing all Cyber Battle Lab (CBL) models, interfaces and tools required to support CBL experimentation efforts
  • Work with web servers and applications, SQL injection, hacking Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, mobile device security, evasion, cloud technologies and security, and virtualization technologies



  • Bachelors and two (2)+ years’ experience; experience accepted in lieu of degree
  • Experience with web servers and applications
  • Experience working with a few of the following programming languages JavaScript, C, C++, Java, Python, Perl, HTML, Visual Basic, ASP, OR PHP)
  • Experience with database management systems (i.e. SQL Server, Oracle DBMS, OR MySQL)
  • Experience working with MS Visual Studio, Active Directory, System Tool Kit (STK) and Systems Planning, Engineering, and Evaluation Device (SPEED)
  • Familiar with LANs/WANs, switch, router, firewall, and access points


  • Must have a current DoD IAT Level I certification or higher (i.e.  A+, Network+ CE, Security+ CE, CySA+, CCNA Security, CASP+ CE, ect)


  • Must have an active Secret Clearance


  • Experience working with OneSAF
  • Experience working with the following Joint Network Emulators (JNE); EXata and QUALNET
  • Current Security+ CE certification
