We are looking for a Controller Training Contract (CTC) Contractor Site Supervisor (CSS) to join the SAIC TEAM providing air traffic controller training services for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

The position will function as a Contractor Site Supervisor (CSS) working remotely to provide oversight for all travelling RPOs supporting SAIC’s DataComm training activities.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is responsible for ensuring that air traffic control specialists provide the flying public with a high level of safety and professionalism. A well-trained Air Traffic Control (ATC) workforce plays an essential role in fulfilling this responsibility. The FAA employs more than 14,000 air traffic controllers. They work in air traffic facilities of varying sizes, safely separating more than 50,000 aircraft in the National Airspace System (NAS) each day.

This position will require the candidate to coordinate the overall delivery of contract DataComm training support at the facility level including effective communication with the local CSS who will provide technical direction for this traveling workforce. The remote CSS will coordinate staffing requirements with the local CSS, conduct hiring and onboarding activities, coordinate employee travel requirements, and provide administrative management of the traveling employees to include complete and expeditious preparation and submission of expense reports. The successful candidate will have management and organizational skills, a drive for continuous improvement, and strong technical skills with knowledge of current ATC automation, simulation systems and procedures.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• The Contractor Site Supervisor must have a minimum of five (5) years recent Certified Professional Controller (CPC) experience controlling live traffic, or recent experience as a contract Instructor at an FAA facility. The experience must have been in an En Route facility.
• Ability to work successfully with CSS’s in multiple locations as well as internal company stakeholders.
•    Excellent communications skills.

Desired Skills:

• Experience managing and directing geographically dispersed employees.
• Great attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Excel and other MS Office products.
• Knowledge of Concur and the SAIC expense reporting system.
• Knowledge of Enroute CSS duties and tasks.
• One year of supervisory or management experience preferred, but not required.

US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

Education:

• Certified Professional Controller (CPC) certification required.

Target salary range: $75,001 - $85,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
