We are looking for a Controller Training Contract (CTC) Contractor Site Supervisor (CSS) to join the SAIC TEAM providing air traffic controller training services for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
The position will function as a Contractor Site Supervisor (CSS) working remotely to provide oversight for all travelling RPOs supporting SAIC’s DataComm training activities.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is responsible for ensuring that air traffic control specialists provide the flying public with a high level of safety and professionalism. A well-trained Air Traffic Control (ATC) workforce plays an essential role in fulfilling this responsibility. The FAA employs more than 14,000 air traffic controllers. They work in air traffic facilities of varying sizes, safely separating more than 50,000 aircraft in the National Airspace System (NAS) each day.
This position will require the candidate to coordinate the overall delivery of contract DataComm training support at the facility level including effective communication with the local CSS who will provide technical direction for this traveling workforce. The remote CSS will coordinate staffing requirements with the local CSS, conduct hiring and onboarding activities, coordinate employee travel requirements, and provide administrative management of the traveling employees to include complete and expeditious preparation and submission of expense reports. The successful candidate will have management and organizational skills, a drive for continuous improvement, and strong technical skills with knowledge of current ATC automation, simulation systems and procedures.
