SAIC is seeking a Systems Administrator FSET based out of Bahrain.  

The qualified candidate will serve as embedded support, supporting the Joint & Expeditionary Command and Control (JEXC2) program. Embedded personnel are considered subject matter experts (SME), mission essential and deployable on any Regional Combat Command (RCC) exercises or operations that require the use of C2 Family of Systems. The individual provides on-site technical support at the garrison and deployed locations where the C2 system operates. Embedded personnel permanently relocate to the country in which the system operates for a minimum of 1 year, per the contract. Personnel may receive housing and cost of living allowances in addition to base salary.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work on deployable IT systems that communicate over satellite
• Installation of new hardware or software 
• Creating and managing user accounts
• Maintaining computer systems such as servers and databases
• Planning and properly responding to system outages and various other problems 
• May include light programming or scripting to make the system workflows easier.
• Training computer users and assistants.

Requirement for Operation and Maintenance support is typically 5 days a week for each C4I FoS fielded system. Work hours in excess of 40 hours per week per person may be required during contingency operations (deployments or exercises), an alternate work schedule may be required to support 24/7 operations. Typical core hours are 0800 to 1700.

Qualifications

Required Education:

Bachelors and 2 years’ experience; Masters and 0 years' experience; 4 years’ experience accepted in lieu of degree

Required Certification:

Security+ certification

IAT Level II or above Certification in addition to Security+

Required Skills:

• Familiarity with Windows Server 2012 R2, or newer
• Understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, and other Windows Roles and Features related to Enterprise services
• Experience with virtualization, i.e. vmWare and ESXi.
• Experience working in a Linux environment
• Experience in a Systems Administrator role
• Security+ certification
• IAT Level II or above Certification in addition to Security+

Required Clearance:

Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance. A minimum of a Secret clearance will be required prior to first day of employment. 

Required Travel:

Must be willing to relocate and live OCONUS for a minimum of (1) One year.  May include additional travel up to 25%.
