SAIC is seeking an Associate Software Systems Engineer to actively contribute in the design, development, documentation, testing, and debugging of application software products developed using an agile methodology. Immediate main tasking will be the support of current active product owners in their roles of defining, prioritizing, and accepting the work generated by product development team. This is a full-time remote job that can be worked anywhere within the US.

Duties will include assisting in gathering and refining feature requirements, developing and maintaining a prioritized backlog, scheduling releases, and coordinating sprints. You should be able to assist in identifying user needs, help customers understand the business value of features/designs/architectures, and work with cross-functional teams to manage product releases. This position will offer you the path to grow into more senior assignments of greater personal responsibilities. Your efforts will be important to and appreciated by our development team members and the customers/product users you will work with. As a result of your work in executing effective development and successful products, you will be helping our company in moving toward making its long-term vision a reality today. This job can be performed 100% remote from anywhere within the US.

Main Task Areas include:

•  Collaborate with product stakeholders during the visioning and concept development of a product
• Identify and understand the product business model and value proposition as well as help the client understand how the product/features support the client's objectives
• Serve as a voice of the client for the development team
• Develop and maintain a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience integration and dependencies
• Work with internal and external customers to analyze their needs and align the product roadmap to their strategic goals
• Assist in the development and ownership of the product roadmap
• Develop, scope, define, and maintain prioritized backlog items that is aligned with product roadmap
• Develop appropriately detailed specifications for the product features so they can be clearly understood by the agile software development team
• Develop solutions to routine product-related problems of limited scope
• Follow standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained
• Act as an ambassador for the product internally and externally and as the primary contact for queries related to the product
• Represents team in front of product stakeholders, clients, or users
• Work closely with product management and senior management in order to create a product that fits and enhances the company portfolio

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• Bachelors of Science in Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Equivalent
• Understanding of Agile methodologies
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams to deliver on a common goal
• Interpersonal skills and developing relationships with team members and customers
• Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills

Desired Skills:

• Experience in sales or marketing is an advantage
• Understanding of basic coding practices and conventions
