Description

JOB DESCRIPTION: Plans and manages all aspects of the facilities function which may include but is not limited to maintenance, equipment, machinery, construction, building space allocation and layout, office services, leased properties and furnishings, and communication services. Plans, budgets and schedules facilities modifications and moves. Inspects construction and installation progress to ensure conformance with established specifications and to comply with company and/or government regulations. SCOPE: N/A LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT: N/A KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND ABILITY: Exhibits an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness. Apply and/or develop highly advanced principles, theories and concepts. Viewed as an expert in the field. Participates with senior management to establish strategic plans and objectives. PROBLEM COMPLEXITY: Exhibits solutions to problems of unusually complex, which require a high degree of ingenuity and innovation. Challenges are always unique and solutions may serve precedent for future decisions. FREEDOM TO ACT: Often acts independently to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of operational programs. Work is checked only to the effectiveness of results obtained, typically requiring a long-term perspective. Virtually self-supervisory. Makes final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensures operations' effective achievement of objectives. IMPACT: Decisions affect the financial, employee, or public relations posture of the organization. Erroneous decisions or recommendations would have a long-term negative effect on organization's reputation and business posture. LIASON: Serves as consultant to top management in long-range goals and objectives, company policies, programs and capabilities. Prime spokesperson on company's capabilities and future directions. Often instrumental in attracting and obtaining major new company business.

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and eighteen (18) years or more of related experience; Masters and sixteen (16) years or more experience; PhD or JD and thirteen (13) years or more experience.
