SAIC is seeking a, Fully Remote, Java Developer to support the US Army Human Resources Command to support enhancing and upgrading legacy applications into new Java based web applications in an enterprise environment, as well as, design, develop, and field enterprise application solutions.

NOTE: This position is fully remote / work from home, but must be willing to work in an operational support environment supporting 24x7 via on call in various shifts as required

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Under general direction, designs, develops, troubleshoots, debugs, and implements software code using Java, JavaScript, HTML, SQL, and XML for software components of the web applications
• Setup and maintain software development and server environment for other developers
• Maintain versioning and implementation of third party products used in the development process
• Prepares, Updates, and Approves Detailed Component Architecture (DCA) Documents
• Prepares, Updates, and Approves System Technical Architecture Documents (Technical Specifications, System Metrics, Threat Models, Configuration Guides)
• Provides second-tier support to end-users for PC, server, mainframe 

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; experience accepted in lieu of degree
• Experience with Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) such as Sybase, Oracle, SQLServer, or similar databases
• Experience using version control tools such as Subversion, Team Foundation Server, or Azure Dev Ops
• Experience with JEE/JSP Containers such as WebLogic, JBoss, or Tomcat (or similar)
• Experience using Angular and Spring Framework
• Comfortable with debugging and analyzing software errors
• Comfortable with architectural analysis and design
• Must be willing to work in an operational support environment supporting 24x7 via on call in various shifts as required

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION:

• Must be CompTIA Security+ CE certified prior to start date

REQUIRED CLEARANCE:

• Must be able to obtain a full Secret Clearance; Interim Secret required prior to start, SAIC will help to obtain
• Must be a current US Citizen

Target salary range: $105,001 - $115,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
