Description

We are hiring a Finance Analyst with experience across project planning, project control and variance analysis with a background in Federal procurement. An ideal candidate should be familiar with multiple program/contract types.

This position can be worked remotely 100% nationwide. 

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Interface with program managers, SAIC’s finance, accounting, contracts, subcontracts, and procurement organizations, as well as external customers on a daily basis to address operational issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Support cash flow improvement initiatives by maintaining detailed, complex invoice backup reports that drive customer invoice approvalsPreparation of financial deliverables and internal/external reports to include invoicing backup
  • Support development of Annual Operating Plan (AOP), quarterly forecasts, monthly latest revised estimates (LREs), and Estimates At Complete (EACs) 
  • Participate in the development of budgets (spend plans) for assigned programs and perform financial analysis on funding profiles and program financial variances
  • Conducts cost, schedule, and contract performance variance analysis
  • Submit and maintain purchase requisitions for subcontractors, consultants, and materials; monitoring subcontractor’s cost and review/approve of invoices; prepare and submit monthly accrual packageReview and support Request for Proposals (RFPs), prepare pricing models and cost analysis

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Finance or Accounting and minimum 3 years of Project Control or related experience, or Master’s Degree and 1 year of experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Required Skills:
  • Candidates must possess a strong background working with multiple contract Types: Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Fixed Price Incentive (FPI), Fixed Price Level of Effort (FPLOE), Time and Materials (T&M), Cost Plus Award Fee (CPAF), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), and hybrid contracts.

  • Ability to learn new process tools, multi-task and remain unflustered by competing time, project manager, SOX and management requirements.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of Cost Point and Cognos

Target salary range: $65,001 - $75,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
