SAIC has a position for an Agile Scrum Master supporting USCENTCOM who will guide and coach the Scrum team in utilizing Agile methodology and scrum practices to deliver high quality products and services to executive level customers.  As an Agile Scrum Master, you will also maintain close working relationships with product owners, teams, and other stakeholders. The Scrum Master will identify any organizational roadblocks that limit team productivity and quality and provide feedback to improve, innovate, and successfully deliver products.

The Scrum Master will guide a team of both dedicated and matrixed system engineers and infrastructure technologists to successfully deliver significant infrastructure change in a large-scale government enterprise environment. Infrastructure enterprise environment includes, but is not limited to, cable plant management, circuit logistics, network, server, applications, voice and A/V builds. This position requires the use of collaborative leadership skills to influence others, with or without direct authority, and to unite groups with diverse perspectives in order to bring teams to consensus/alignment.

Qualifications

 

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance required, will the ability to attain a Top Secret Clearance
  • Bachelors and 14+ years of demonstrated experience OR Masters and 12+ years of demonstrated experience in the following associated scrum activities:
  • DevSecOps, Lean, Agile, SCRUM, and other industry leading initiatives

  • Scheduling and facilitating scrum events, meetings, decision-making process, and help resolve conflicts and issues

  • Familiarity with SCRUM tracking tools (i.e. Jira,) and ability to develop and maintain within customer framework.
  • Continual direct, timely oral and written communication at the executive level – aligning goals and expectations
  • Monitoring and reporting progress and performance and assist teams to make improvements
  • Helping product owners and development teams achieve customer satisfaction
  • Leading working sessions with product owners to review and determine requirements, scope, and schedule constraints
  • Monitor and report progress of projects against initial expectations and communicate variance between the plan and actual results
  • Participate in the creation and evolution of tools and templates to optimize organizational efficiencies.
  • Organizes project activities that may require interdepartmental meetings and communication ensuring completion of the program/project on schedule and within budget constraints.
  • Guiding and coaching Scrum Teams in using Agile Methodology and Scrum practices
  • Certifications: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMP or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), ICAgile Certified Professional (ICP), or SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager

Desired Qualifications:

  • IT project experience  in a matrixed organization
  • Ability to apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts, and contribute to the development of innovative ideas
  • Experience with senior DOD leaders and organizational culture.
