  Make a difference for national security by joining a team of dedicated professionals in El Segundo, CA who assist the US Space Force in developing and deploying the next generation of satellites and ground systems for missile warning, missile tracking and missile defense (MW/MT/MD) capabilities.  These systems alert senior military officials when missile launches occur around the globe.

  Our Missile Track Custody (MTC) program team has an immediate need for a Cloud Computing  Engineer with experience working within the DoD’s Secure Internet Protocol Pouter Network (SIPRNet) environment, performing SW application system admin duties, provisioning accounts, managing user groups and SW tool permission sets as well as handling SW license tracking/ accounting. The successful candidate will already meet the criteria of DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certifications for IAT Level II (or higher). For instance CompTIA Security+ CE is an approved certification to be IAT Level II according to DoD 8570.01 manual. This position offers learning opportunities in Cloud computing and Digital Engineering practices.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Applying Information Assurance principles and technical experience to the roll out of a new IL6 Cloud One computing environment which in phase 1 is via SIPRNet terminals exclusively
• Liaison between our El Segundo team and AFLCMC/HNI (the Cloud One team) for implementation and management of Microsoft operating systems, services, applications and roles in an Apache Guacamole virtual environment using DISA Security Technical Implementation Guidance
• Create and refine test cases for IL6 Cloud One User Acceptance Test (UAT)
• Create end user instructions that supplement and add MTC program office details to the IL6 Cloud One Digital Engineering Platform as a Service (DEPaaS) construct
• Assist the MTC program office with data ingress to SIPR via all available means including Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) and cyber engineering to expand CDS pathways
• Assist our MTC program office end users with access, troubleshooting and building up a detailed engineering notebook of issues through all phases of IL6 Cloud One deployment
• Support IL6 Cloud One DEPaaS team meetings and engineering working groups
• Support systems engineering documentation for requirements, ICDs, systems design, CONOPS, verification and test
• Collaborating with prime contractors, other team contractors, government stakeholders, and members of the U.S. Space Force

   

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certifications for IAT Level II (or higher)
• US Citizen is required
• Must be able to come into the office (El Segundo, Ca) two-three days a week. 
• Baccalaureate degree plus five (5) years or more experience.  Alternatively, for candidates without a baccalaureate degree, nine (9) years of relevant work experience or equivalent demonstrated education through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• Active Secret Clearance

Desired Qualifications:

• Baccalaureate degree in an engineering, mathematics, physics or equivalent technical discipline and five (5) years of systems engineering and integration experience or a Master’s degree in an engineering, mathematics, physics or equivalent technical discipline and three (3) years of systems engineering and integration experience
• Experience working across DoD or space organizations to coordinate and identify system requirements and enable end user access and uptime on secure computing systems
• Demonstrated experience working with Space Force/DoD customers in an acquisition environment, with space and/or ground systems
• Strong Jira and Confluence experience
• Experience working in an Agile team/framework
• Experience with cloud computing and security principles

Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
