Job Description


SAIC’s Innovation Factory Team has an opening for a Digital Engineering (DE) Presales Solutins Consultant to enhance and drive implementation and sales of SAIC’s Digital Engineering offerings. This is a Remote position and can be worked anywhere in the U.S.

The role of the DE presales solutions architect is to help promote and sell Engineering Innovation Factory (EIF) Digital Engineering offerings by defining and tailoring our enterprise solutions and demonstrating the advanced technical functions of each offering and its uses and benefits to SAICs internal capture teams and programs.

This role will require an engineering sales skillset focused on providing technical advice and support to internal capture and program teams by conducting technical analysis of customer needs and requirements to determine tailored EIF offering approach.  This will includepreparing and conducting technical sales briefings for customer and company representatives, researching customer technical specifications and cost estimation, resources, time, and technical requirements of modifying, configuring, and installing the EIF solution, and evaluating sales proposals to ensure they are technically accurate and consistent with the organization's quality standards.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responding to requests from internal customers  to provide offering-specific information for proposal Technical Solution – including custom content as needed to describe the offering in the proposal.
  • Responds to PM / CM requests for offering-specific information and provides input for customer engagement / call plans; conducts offering-specific technical discussions, presentations and demonstrations for industry and customers as required
  • Researches competitor capabilities comparable to the SAIC offering, and provides written assessments to IFT / Sector.
  • Responds to requests from Marketing to provide offering-specific inputs for development of marketing collateral, advertising, etc.


Required Educations/Skills:

Bachelor’s Degree and at least 5 years of experience with some aspect of Digital Systems Engineering to include one or more of the following:

  • Model Based Systems Engineering (SysML, Cameo, Rhapsody)
  • Requirements Management in a Digital Environment (e.g., DNG, Jama)
  • Digital IV&V Planning and Execution (e.g., RQM, iRIS,)
  • Digital Thread Integration (e.g, Aras Innovator, Model Center)

The successful candidate has a technical background to acquire a strong understanding of the capability and application of one or more specific Digital Engineering offerings & Proposal writing skills.

  • Superior communication skills, with ability to present and demonstrate offerings as part of client engagement pre-sales and sales.  Must be articulate and able to establish rapport quickly with stakeholders 
  • Ability to quickly absorb and elicit information on customer needs, interact with customers in real-time and influence their understanding of SAIC offerings
  • Superior writing skills, to tailor offering-specific marketing content for use in white papers, RFI responses, etc
  • Applicant must demonstrate high energy, initiative and commitment
  • Must be a US Citizen

Target salary range: $175,001 - $185,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
