Description

SAIC is looking for a Security Specialist with an active TS/SCI to work at our location in Crystal City, Arlington, VA. The candidate will provide security, facility, and customer support for a diverse team of government, contractor, and SAIC personnel.  Must have a complete understanding and wide application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards. Follow and enforce all required security policies, procedures, and compliance integrated by SAIC and Government Team. 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Develop solutions to a variety of problems moderate in scope and complexity.
  • Understand and implement proper response for security violations and infractions and identify process for handling security incidents.
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness efforts.
  • Conduct annual SCIF inspections according to required security policies and procedures.
  • Program alarms in classified suites.
  • Facilitate building operation procedures.
  • Assist with changing SCIF combinations and giving alarm activation/deactivation access.
  • Keep records/information updated for guards.
  • Receive/distribute mail and packages.
  • Place service requests for work orders.
  • Maintain inventories of key fobs and visitor badges.
  • Escort contractors and vendors to conduct services within cleared spaces.
  • Order supplies through a generated website and stock supplies/merchandise within the suites
  • Process reserved parking requests as well as unclassified and classified meeting room reservation requests.
  • Reconcile monthly facility expenses and budget costs.
  • Identify potential indicators of insider threats, tracking, documenting incidents.
  • Maintain energy, focus, and diplomatic approach to customer service.
  • Coordinate schedule with team lead and management.
  • Prepare and submit monthly status reports.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Demonstrated knowledge in Personnel, Industrial, Information, and Physical Security disciplines.
  • Excellent Customer Service.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • At least 5 years of professional work experience with High School Diploma
  • Ability to perform tasks effectively in a fast paced mission-based facility.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to assist customers as needed.
  • Familiar with working in classified environments and/or classified materials.
  • Ability to resolve problems effectively.
  • Basic understanding of security and facility management protocols.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite to complete and maintain records.
  • Experience working with the 32 CFR part 117 and DoD 5205.07, Volumes 1-4
  • Experience with Physical Security standards IAW ICD 705.

REQUIRED CLEARANCE: 

  • TS/SCI, or an Active TS Clearance with an SCI eligibility date
