Job Description


The SAIC Corporate Compensation team is seeking a Compensation Principal with experience in compensation program design, analysis and administration to support SAIC’s talent and culture strategy. This is a remote position.

This position provides broad opportunities in the following areas:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to HR business partners, line managers, and other stakeholders on compensation-related matters, providing information and guidance on compensation issues
  • Lead annual activities, including market salary analysis and geographic differential review,  that inform salary structure updates and merit budget decisions
  • Coordinate annual merit and bonus activities with Compensation team colleagues and HR business partners
  • Partner with Corporate Government Compliance, Finance, and Pricing teams to respond to internal and external audit inquiries
  • Apply job evaluation and market benchmarking techniques to establish equitable compensation rates within the organization as compared with rates in the market
  • Participate in market salary surveys and analyze results against SAIC population to determine company’s competitive position
  • Participate in Merger & Acquisition activities including data analysis and integration
  • Provide strategic support to bid and proposal activities, including participating in the mapping and market benchmarking of labor categories for proposals and working with the Corporate Pricing function to set forward pricing rates
  • Analyze position duties and responsibilities and provide guidance on exempt/non-exempt status based on FLSA guidelines
  • Reviews proposed salary actions to ensure internal and external equity and compliance with Federal and State regulations
  • Leads and/or works on other Compensation/HR projects as assigned


Bachelors and ten (10) years or more of related experience; Masters and eight (8) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and five (5) years or more experience.

Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or working toward CCP certification.




Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
