Job Description:

  • Senior Research Analyst to support the Washington Headquarters Service (WHS) Immediate Office (IO). 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Directly supports the Deputy Director, WHS in the execution of special projects that support the WHS mission on-site in the Pentagon. 
  • Provides professional and analytic deliverables and insights in support of technical, managerial, procedural, and project tasks

 

Qualifications

Clearance Requirement

  • Current DoD TOP SECRET clearance or higher. Ability to obtain SCI level.

Educational Background:

  • MA/MS in Political Science, National Security Affairs, International Relations, International Economics, or a related field.

Required Experience/Skills:

  • Experience serving as an “honest broker” providing robust policy analysis on a broad range of topics
  • Demonstrated ability to research, organize, write, and edit staff packages and larger reports.
  • Extensive familiarity with DoD organization and the ability to work in a faced paced environment with evolving direction.
  • Comfortable with communicating clearly with senior officials and senior staff.
  • Familiarity with Service- and/or OSD-level strategy, policy, governance or resource allocation processes as a result of previous government, military and/or private sector assignments. 
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Committed to exceptional client service and professionalism while working at the client site.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of Applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and common office software applications.
  • Ability to provide on-site support in the Pentagon, Monday through Friday during core business hours of 8am-4pm
