Description

SAIC is seeking a software configuration analyst to support the United States Air Force in its goal of developing an interoperable system of system in a cloud-based command and control (CBC2) environment.  The Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS CBC2) goals include achieving alignment with the Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) vision of improved information sharing, layered security, common data and architecture standards, system resiliency, faster implementation, and more effective cross-domain capabilities, including the ability for any sensor to inform any shooter across all domains. The position requires an individual with strong technical project management skills. The successful candidate will have excellent communication, team skills and DoD Program Management experience. They will be expected to continually balance and adjust work priorities to meet short deadlines and rapidly evolving customer needs.

The Configuration Analyst will provide direct contributions to programs, while executing the leadership and management responsibilities of the position. 

Candidate should have significant experience in the administration of Software Configuration Management to include use of a Configuration Management Automated Tool like CMPRO, or CMSTAT. Should be personable and have engineering/IT background to communicate with Technicians and Engineers.

The successful candidate should have strong experience in the systems engineering Configuration Management (CM) field, and will apply CM processes for document control of technical requirements, statements of work (SOW), and associated Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and system specifications. CM candidate will control and manage technical data from different sources, and organize program documentation.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for product design changes and the effects of the overall system.
  • Assist in documenting and tracking all aspects of software development and modifications.
  • Automate configuration management tasks using GitLab and Kubernetes
  • Ensures configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness and proper authorizations.
  • Prepares deviations and waivers for government approval when specifications cannot be met.
  • Reviews all issued document change requests, document change notices and associated drawings for accuracy, completeness and proper signatures.
  • May structure and maintain databases.
  • Submits engineering changes to customers for review and approval; maintains records and submit reports regarding status.
  • Prepares configuration verification audit record sheets for all programs.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance
  • Bachelor Degree plus 14+ years of experience or a master's and 12+ in configuration management
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in achieving results through understanding and management of internal customer relationships, prioritization, and delegation of tasks.

  • Skilled in working with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge and experience of the various department/functions.
  • Configuration Data Management Certification, such as Certified International Configuration Manager (CICM)

 


Target salary range: $100,001 - $125,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
