We conduct end-to-end project management and facility engineering functions for locations throughout the world.  At the HQ-level we perform all manner of planning, programming and execution oversight for a portfolio in the hundreds of millions per year. 

SAIC is looking for a Construction Administration Specialist to join our team in Springfield, VA at Ft Belvoir. The ideal candidate shall have a broad hands-on construction management related experience providing back-office support to on-site construction managers and project managers.  

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Serve as the responsible party to collect and distribute all construction related records, documents, and information relating to or arising out of construction project.  
  • Ensure that construction related record copies are properly recorded at site and are complete. 
  • Maintain accurate and detailed written records of Project progress during all stages of construction. 
  • Prepare progress reports in the format and frequency required by the Government.  
  • Develop formalized written procedures for processing documentation so that all parties understand their respective roles, responsibilities and timelines. 
  • Maintain copies and monitor updates of the General Contractor’s construction schedule and Integrated Master Plan (IMP). 
  • Collect, collate and ensure distribution of construction meeting minutes, design review documents, construction evaluations, commissioning testing results and logs to the appropriate parties. 

 

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and six (6) years or more of related experience; Masters and four (4) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience. Professional experience may be substitued in lieu of a degree.

Qualifications 

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Poly 
  • 3 years’ experience in strategic project and program management with IC, NRO, DoD or 6 years in Commercial Industry 
  • Must be able to work independently without direct supervision 
  • Experience with tools, techniques, operations and procedures for managing construction projects of all sizes and types.  
  • Basic knowledge of the many construction skill trades 
  • Knowledgeable in AutoCAD and MSOffice Suite 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural field 
  • Experience with MS Project or similar 

Target salary range: $100,001 - $125,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
