SAIC provides full-service facility management support to a major organization in the Intelligence community. We conduct end-to-end project management and facility engineering functions for locations throughout the world.  At the HQ-level we perform all manner of planning, programming and execution oversight for a portfolio in the hundreds of millions per year. 

  • SAIC is seeking a top-notch facility Space Utilization Specialist to join our talented team in Aurora, CO. This position is responsible for provide oversight & control to monitor and report on facility space utilization for the campus with over 1 million square feet of facilities.  The ideal candidate serves as the lead for the U.S Government (USG) facilities management organization in all activities associated with space utilization.  

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Provide oversight, analysis and report on available space for use by all tenants or as swing space for construction efforts. 
  • Perform site surveys and accomplish the annual update of seats, positions, occupant type, standardized square footage take offs, etc. 
  • Update and maintain space utilization planning project information on required software (ARCHIBUS). 
  • Update and report facility space utilization information for planning and management by the government’s Boards and Working Groups.  
  • Coordinate facility space utilization planning project information with site Space Management Working Groups (SMWGs). 
  • Coordinate facility space utilization for internal Move Management activities. 
  • Identify available swing spaces for renovation efforts. 
  • Serve as the site facility space utilization planning Point of Contact (POC) for Space Management Working Groups. 
  • Coordinate site facility space utilization planning information and requirements with other internal and external government entities. 

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and six (6) years or more of related experience; Masters and four (4) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience. Professional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. 

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with poly
  • 5 years’ experience in Interior Design project Management with IC, NRO, DoD or 10 years in CI 
  • 2 years’ experience in ARCHIBUS to analyze space utilization for oversite, control and reporting on space utilization 
  • 2 years’ experience using BOMA or similar occupant standardization for measurement of useable space  
  • 2 years of AutoCad experience  
  • 2 years managing multiphase move coordination with new design, renovation, and construction projects. 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Interior Design 
  • Active PMP certification or similar 

Target salary range: $100,001 - $125,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
