Description
SAIC is seeking a mid-level developer for Cloud Computing and Android development that is passionate about application development. They will be working with our team of talented engineers to design, build, and deploy next generation applications for the United States Army. The Android application is a Fire Control Application (FCA) used for Command and Control (C2 system) and Situational Awareness (SA) to train and coordinate fires with partner nations. Releases and updates to the application will be deployed at the tactical edge using Microsoft Azure.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with Design and build advanced applications for Cloud Infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, design, and implement new features
- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and functionality
- Perform code reviews to be the first line of defense and improve product quality
- Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
- Work as an agile team member on a Scrum team
Qualifications
Education Requirements:
- Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Four (4) years' experience can be accepted in lieu of degree.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must possess an active Secret clearance or have the ability to obtain one.
Required Skills:
- Able to demonstrate knowledge in software development
- Ability to learn Azure development and Zero Trust Architecture
- Understanding of the full development life cycle
- Java, Kotlin, and Object-Oriented Development
- Candidates must also have a working knowledge of all software development processes and documentation.
Desired Skills:
- Working knowledge of Android development
- Familiarity with Agile development process
- Solid problem solving and communication skills
- A current security clearance is desired but not required.
