Description

SAIC is seeking a Requirements Engineer to support in Chantilly, VA. This position requires an active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph.

As a Requirements Engineer on a space-based program in the Intelligence Community, you will work on a team charged with improving COMSEC equipment lifecycle support by applying a range of engineering and program management expertise, as well as managing the organization’s requirements baseline, and translating those into solutions and an investment roadmap. You will play an instrumental role in facilitating communication and collaboration across an enterprise of programs and a myriad of external stakeholders to effectively manage the baseline and plan for future capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage CDRL information for technology development and acquisition programs and develop reporting metrics for CDRL submissions
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders and generate sustainment requirement schedules and cost estimates for program planning and budgetary exercises
  • Develop and manage project plans and facilitate delivery of customer key and equipment solutions
  • Coordinate and negotiate operational sustainment and maintenance program cryptographic requirements among program offices, vendors and other stakeholders
  • Manage the equipment requirement process including an accounting of specific program needs, quantities, dates of orders, and installations, etc.
  • Support the management of the terrestrial baseline approval process
  • Organize and coordinate the COMSEC working groups and requirements review boards. Responsibilities include tracking requirements, drafting agendas and coordinating with stakeholders, distributing meeting announcements, facilitating the meetings, and drafting meeting reports and tracking action items

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience

  • Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Fundamental understanding of COMSEC and CRYPTO
  • Experience developing program plans, schedules, and cost estimates
  • Ability to work independently and on a team in a mixed Military/Govt. civilian/Contractor work environment, and to interact daily with DoD, and various COMSEC Accounts
