Description

SAIC is seeking a Facility Operations Specialist for our client's operational requirements supporting the INDOPACOM Joint Exercise Program (JEP) within a challenging, dynamic setting located in Pearl City, HI area.
 
The facility operations specialist provides and invaluable service and support to the team and the successful candidate will be required to support the following duties.
 
Duties fall within 5 key areas of support to include Operational, Exercise support, Physical Security, Facility Safety Program, and Facility Disaster Preparedness.

For Operational support the candidate will provide the following:

  • Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly inspections as required on various facilities assets 
  • Submit for repairs via TF-1 through NAVFAC as required.   
  • Conduct mail runs as required. 
  • Submit purchase requests through USINDOPACOM
  • Complete minor repairs as required
  • Assist warehouse operations as required
  • Assist with managing the facilities budget and expenditures. 
  • Attend USINDOPAM facilities meetings and boards as required
  • Manage alarms in coordination with JBPHH dispatch
  • Coordinate for quarterly grounds maintenance through Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam (JBPHH) 
  • Assist with the Facilities SOP management
  • Escort technicians as required. 
  • Manage the facilities/NAVFAC required library

In support of exercise support the candidate will be required to perform the following:

  • Coordinate with operations to identify facilities requirements in support of exercises
  • Submit requests through USINDOPACOM for custodial services for projected exercises. 
  • Coordinate with JBPHH dispatch for alarm systems in support of exercises. 
  • Manage parking plan in coordination with operations. 
  • Create and post DV signage.
  • Post parking plan to ensure attendees are aware of parking requirements
  • Assist with Geedunk
  • Receive and respond to requests to use the facility

In support of Physical Security the candidate will be required to perform the following:

  • Conduct weekly Random Anti-terrorism Measures (RAM)
  • Manage the Standard Forms 701-702 for the facility

In support of managing the Facility Safety Program the candidate will be required to perform the following:

  • Conduct monthly inspection of fire extinguishers 
  • Conduct monthly inspections of emergency lighting
  • Conduct facility safety inspections
  • Correct any safety concerns when identified. 

In support of managing the Facility disaster preparedness program the candidate will be required to perform the following: for the facility

  • Coordinate for generator load test quarterly or in the event of a pending disaster. 
  • Purchase required disaster supplies
  • Secure all loose items on the exterior of the building
  • Coordinate with the Navy’s disaster management and provide situation reports as required
  • Coordinate with USINDOPACOM Joint Operations Center and provide reports as required. 
  • Coordinate with Building 510 personnel on disaster preparedness requirements

Qualifications

Required Education:

Bachelors and three (3) years of experience; four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
 
Required Skills

  • The ability to professionally address questions, problems, and issues promptly while keeping the team and leadership informed of the situation and any insights learned.
  • Possessing a working knowledge of INDOPACOM Exercise framework is a plus
  • Experience with large and complex unilateral up to multilateral joint exercises.
  • Experience with INODOPACOM exercises is a plus
  • Basic understanding of simulations supporting training exercises
  • The knowledge to manage the Facilities files on Teams
  • Possess the knowledge of one of more trades, preferably HVAC or electrical
  • Possess the knowledge of Direct Digital Controls preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications. 

Clearance

Candidate must possess a Secret clearance to start.
