Description
SAIC is seeking a Special Security Representative to support the National Guard Bureau J2 security office and the larger Military Intelligence Service and Support (MISS) Program. Work is onsite at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.
Job Duties:
- Perform Special Security Representative (SSR) functions in a SCIF, including indoctrination briefings, clearance verifications, travel briefings, and ensuring adherence to all relevant security regulations.
- Utilize Defense Information System for Security (DISS) system for PERSEC actions such as clearance verifications, visit requests, and SCI nominations.
- Travel to support Chief of NGB executive travel to secure temporary SCIFs with appropriate countermeasures and security ahead of main party.
- Majority of the work on site in the NGB SCIF in the Pentagon. Limited telework available, subject to the requirements of the J2 client.
- Travel up to 25% of the time.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelors and six (6) years or more of related experience; OR Associates and eight (8) years or more of related experience; OR HS/GED and ten (10) years or more of related experience.
- Top Secret, eligible to hold an SCI
- 1+ years’ experience with DISS
- 1+ years’ experience working in a SCIF or similar classified facility
- Experience with security programs such as INFOSEC, PERSEC, or COMSEC
- Familiarity with the Center for Development of Security Expertise (CDSE)’s training through the Security Training Education and Professionalization Portal (STEPP) portal
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Able to travel independently and operate with little to no supervision
- Detail oriented self-starter/ action officer.
