Description

DESCRIPTION: SAIC is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to provide direct support to the site Chief Engineer (CE) working within the Intelligence Community on complex projects crucial to national security objectives. He/she will provide Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) services to assist the government oversee the integration of ground systems into the operational baseline at a customer facility in Denver, CO.   Security Clearance TS/SCI with poly is required.   Target compensation is 135,001-145,000.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Primarily support Chief Engineer (CE) and Systems Engineering and Integration leadership ensuring successful and efficient execution of engineering activities across the site
  • Collaborate with NRO directorates, organizations and mission partners as necessary to ensure project requirements through delivery are understood meeting accurate, timely, and budgetary goals
  • Translate site requirements to documentation, briefings, and present to the IC community as required
  • Develop and deliver plans, assessments, reports, and briefings to the Government in support of the CE

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and twelve (12) years or more experience ; PhD or JD in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and nine (9) years or more experience. *STEM is a contractual requirement

 

 Required Qualifications:

  • Thorough understanding of the ADF-C, NRO, and associated mission operations and systems engineering processes
  • Experience as subject matter expert providing advisory services regarding strategy, operations, and management of national programs
  • Demonstrated success with the systems engineering and integration of missions or ground systems
  • Experience in Digital Engineering/Model Based Systems Engineering and associated tools (e.g. Cameo, Jira, Confluence)
  • Familiar with systems development methodologies (e.g Agile, DevOps, Spiral, Waterfall, etc.); cloud technologies
  • Self-starter, proactively addresses customer requirements with no supervision; expert at defining solutions for broad, abstract topics
  • Polished communicator (written/verbal); impeccable interpersonal skills and personal judgment
  • Master at collaboration and coordination with multiple stakeholders -- consensus builder
  • NRO documentation development background
  • Expertise across full systems engineering lifecycle and project management
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph

 Desired Qualifications:

  • 4 Years’ Experience in initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling DoD or Intelligence Community projects or Programs
  • Well-versed in project management and strategic planning

 


Target salary range: $185,001 - $195,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
