SAIC is looking to hire an Electrical Engineer to be part of a team providing hardware and software development solutions to the US Army DevCom Software, Simulation, and Systems Integration Directorate (S3I) supporting Missile Launch Rocket Systems (MLRS) located at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama.

Note; this position does allow some flexibility to telework however, majority of the work is required to be onsite.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Development of special purpose assemblies
  • Perform analysis and circuit simulation according to electrical/electronic hardware requirements.
  • Create Interface Control Drawings for complex electronic assemblies.
  • Perform initial checkout, debug of custom electronic equipment and printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies.
  • Support generation of documentation for a Technical Data Package (TDP) associated with the design, development, unit test, and integration of hardware/firmware components.
  • Apply basic electronics engineering knowledge and practical experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Data acquisition systems
    • Electronic circuit design
    • Firmware design and development for automatic test equipment

 

Qualifications

Required Education:

Bachelors degree with two (2) or more years of experience; four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.

Ideal candidate will have a degree in Electrical / Computer Engineering.

Required Skills and Knowledge in the following:

  • National Instruments LabVIEW
  • Fire control system for rocket/missile launcher
  • Schematic capture
  • SPICE circuit simulation
  • Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint and Visio)

Required Clearance:

Interim Secret Clearance required prior to start of employment (SAIC will sponsor) with the ability to obtain a Secret - ideal candidate will already have a Secret; US Citizenship required.
