SAIC is seeking an Engineer Technician I to join our team at our office in North Charleston, SC.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The candidate will support activities such as design, test, check-out, modification, fabrication and assembly and installation of C4I .Assist in prototype electro mechanical systems installation procedures, experimental design circuitry, transmission devices or specialized test equipment. Applications may include electronic circuits, photonics and logic systems. Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.
JOB DUTIES:
- Performing multiple tasks using written detailed instructions.
- Installing electrical and mechanical equipment/components.
- Performing inspections for proper installation.
- Assembling communication equipment using standard hand tools.
- Assembling drawings and technical manual and specific written and oral instructions.
- Troubleshooting and repairing electrical components.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE:
- HS/GED and three (3) years’ experience; OR Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Physical Science and 0 years’ experience. Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or four (4) year electronics apprentice program (preferred).
- Three (3) years of practical experience, to include: laboratory testing, manufacturing, or maintenance (preferred).
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a DOD Public Trust security clearance.
- Active clearances accepted.
