SAIC is looking for a District Network Administrator in Huntington, WV to support the US Army Corps of Engineers on the Revolutionary IT Services (USACE RITS) through network hardware (Routers, switches, and wireless) support under a DoD/DISN environment. Duties include configuring and installing new or replacement network hardware, configuring and supporting the wireless network, and maintaining network documentation. Assist Supervisors in managing projects, circuit activations, installs, refreshes, outages, meeting DISA security requirements, and maintaining documentation.

NOTE: This role is fully onsite in Huntington, WV.

Job Description:

  • Primary assignee to resolve network problems at the division, district, field site, and SIPR (if present) locations.
  • On occasion, support enterprise-level network requirements
  • Install updates to network equipment and IOS (IOS-XE, NXOS) software.
  • Ensure network hardware has a secure baseline configuration and meets DISA Security Technical Implementation guide (STIG) requirements.
  • Update and maintain network logical and physical topology to include Wi-Fi heat maps.
  • Configure and install new or replacement network hardware including VLAN configuration and routing.
  • Investigate and report security breaches; collaborate with the supervisor to insure continuity of security measures; research and recommend solutions to security problems.
  • Provide system maintenance, including monitoring logs, backing up configurations.
  • Travel in the Divisional Area of Operations to work on network issues as needed.
  • Devise methods for performance and enhancement.
  • Train on usage of new hardware and applications.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s and two (2) years or more of related experience. Additional experience accepted in lieu of degree
  • Knowledge and familiarity with the Command Line Interface (CLI) used by Cisco devices.
  • Knowledge and use of Office 365 applications.
  • Knowledge and use of ServiceNow or similar ticketing system.
  • Must be willing to travel when necessary.
  • Must have a valid drivers’ license.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Cisco Certified Network Associate certification
  • Minimum DoDD 8140/8570.01-m IAT Level III certificate (CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, CCSP)

REQUIRED CLEARANCE:

  • Must be able to obtain a full Secret Clearance; Interim Secret required prior to start, SAIC will help to obtain
  • Must be a current US Citizen
