Description

SAIC is seeking an Item Manager to join our team. This position will sit at Picatinny Arsenal. 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Program Management support in a Project/Product Management office. Duty station is Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. 
  • Lead an Integrated Product Team (IPT) managing cost, schedule, and performance of development, improvement, and production armament system programs.
  • Prepare armament systems programmatic updates and brief as required.
  • Review and provide input to technical data packages (TDPs), participate in technical discussions, and provide technical direction for a program based on recommendations from supporting organizations.
  • Participate in weekly meetings, program reviews and attend meetings at USG, contractor, and subcontractor facilities (travel appx 25% of time).
  • Monitor funding obligations and disbursements to ensure the Secretary of Defense (OSD) goals are met.
  • Utilize management and organizational principles and a wide range of qualitative and quantitative techniques to plan, implement, integrate and  evaluate a diverse group of acquisition programs.

Qualifications

Required Education:

Bachelors and ten (10) years or more related experience; Masters and eight (8) years or more experience; PhD or JD and five (5) years or more experience. 

Qualifications:

  • Experience developing briefings and information reports
  • Proven track record of developing and supporting implementation of cost savings initiatives
  • Demonstrated USG/Military Project Management & Acquistion experience
  • Experience participating in in the development of Test and Evluation Master Plans

Clearance:

A minimum of an Interim Secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain and maintain full Secret clearance.
